I'd love to see the boss being a frost wyrm that utilizes a burrowing mechanic and the land having burrowed tunnels to explore.

Just absurd how far they have stretched development on this game. They will have spent literally 3 times as much dev time on the last 3 biomes compared to the entire dev time it took to launch

hey! not everybody lives in the US! they don’t work their souls into oblivion like we do with limited vacation, time spent with families and friends etc! they’re actually allowed to be humans and have lives with a HEALTHY work/life balance. so instead of complaining, stop thinking inside of your bubble and understand that not everybody lives like you and me. thanks!

That would make sense as she seems to be landing in the north for the first time. It'd be hard to have armor from the northlands, before you've set foot there

I hope there is no larger ship required for sailing to deep north, force player riding giant ship on boiling and spiky beach is kinda diabolical.

I’m so excited! I think the wording is pretty clear that the deep north is prior to the end of the game. I expect There will be an astral boss for the game

Final obstacle BEFORE I can prove myself worthy.
The way I take the wording is that this is another boss BEFORE you are worthy or the actual ending.
Cool ending? You have to kill Odin because he now worries you are too strong

Imagine it not be explained in-game anywhere and poor unsuspecting people just place that 7th trophy and hell breaks loose as Odin comes to beat you up with a swarm of Valkyries, wich are not the fallen ones from Ashlands and a bit stronger than those, of course he can summon more and will do so, while hurling fun runic AOE magic, that, of course can destroy terrain!
Pain, and Suffering. x)

I always felt line the sacrificial stones were a seal holding the final boss (aka test). Putting the trophies (7 with deep north boss) would release that seal and either open a portal to the final boss location or just plain summon the boss at the location. That's why I never built around those stones just in case all hell broke loose there.

@ Damn, that's sad. I didn't think it would get anything special but something to ease the monotony of sailing for hours, even just extra friendly mobs like a whale for example or abandoned ships idk.

Strictly speaking the biome already exists after all.
That said, I can imagine any additions being devilishly difficult to make interesting and balanced without buggering up early to mid game balance.

Yeah i'm hoping for a propper update to the coean biomes aswell. I've changed world settings on my solo world to allow everything thru portal because i dont wanna spend hours sailing ores to my base. But everyone say they decided to drop doing a ocean update :(
