After getting accustomed to this game, This is actually really fun. I actually have fun instead of sweating my ass off. Even if i get pub stomped by a 1 single guy whos carrying the other team. I think XDefiant has a massive amount of potential and it has delivered on multiple fronts. But I don’t think it will ever compare to Cod in terms of casual play. XDefiant beats COD in basic multiplayer in almost everyway, but that’s really it. The problem with XDefiant right now isn’t gameplay, but the gameplay loop itself. Think about it, what do you do if you get sick of playing multiplayer in COD? You replay the campaign or chill out on zombies. XDefiant doesn’t have an alternative mode thats different from the base game. Plus grinding cosmetics it’s so painful and unsatisfying, whether it’s getting weapon camos or operator skins. It just doesn’t feel the same as cod. COD gives you tons of ways to level up, grind out calling cards, weapon camos, and operator skins by presenting the player with alternative modes that all contribute to one goal. If XDefiant were to make the camo grind actually fun, maybe add calling cards, and more customization in gerneral, it would really blow up. Nothin is more soul draining than absolutely destroying a lobby in Dom and getting very little reward for it.

I’ve been keeping up with XDefiant because I really did believe in the game and I still love the game itself,but until I see a huge boost in player numbers,content, and less nerfing stuff when it doesn’t need it,I don’t see myself opening XDefiant at all. I actually like the MP more than call of duty but at least cod lets me play when and how I want to. Even on a weekend if I search for a game on Xdefiant it takes almost 5-10 minutes,which obviously nobody has time for. Also the last few times I did play it was 90% the same people every game. I don’t agree with everything Cod does either balance wise,but the balancing in XDefiant is my biggest complaint. They did the exact same thing to Rainbow Six Siege which is why I left that game as well after playing for 3+ years(still one of my favourite games I just can’t no more). So when I start to see XDefiant team get their shit together,and people start playing again,I’ll hop back on but until then,I’m good. I had fun forsure but unfortunately even with all the bs,I’ve been enjoying Black Ops 6 way more. I’m not even a huge cod guy either,I just want a good game

Xdefiant is a doomed game. There are too many cheaters and none of them are caught or banned. This causes players to stop playing Xdefiant. PC cheat software, Cronus Zen scripts, ReWASD software... All of this will cause Xdefiant to go under.

Game have a lot of problems after last update . Player names does not show on time so you dont know are you shooting on teammare or enemy , weapon damage is not corrected , match making 5v6 situation and it does not find last player and stuff like that 😁

One thing I appreciate about the "slow" approach they take at putting out new content, is that I finally can play a game I never feel OBLIGATED to play, be it not to miss on exclusive stuff, or keep up with the game altogether, there's none of that to me in XDefiant.
It doesn't matter if I want to spend time on another game instead for a while, whenever I'll feel like going for an oldschool arcade shooting session, I'll be glad to come back to a known place that hasn't been flooded with cosmetics, events and patch notes for the time I was away !

Arcade shooters aren’t a genre I want to play all the time. I get a craving and I wanna jump into some games sometimes. With this more casual mindset, cod just isn’t worth it to me. I can’t spend 70 bucks on something I might wanna play sometimes. Xdefiant is a game I can jump into and not have to dump cash, which in turn has made me buy a couple battlepasses

I actually decided to check out XDefiant recently cause the SBMM in CoD got to be too much when trying to play with friends. I had written XD off as a clunky looking Ubisoft gimmick for a long time but was surprised how much I enjoyed myself when I started playing. Definitely a much more fun game to play casually with friends than CoD right now. Hopefully they do maintain it long term and don’t just give up on it.

Two things are either going to happen. 1. The game dies because the devs have been extremely quiet and lazy. They’ve given up and are collecting whatever profit they can until they turn off the servers. Or 2. They’ve been extremely quiet and ignoring the community because they have huge plans for season threes release and we’re going to see xDefiant do a complete 180. Potentially a ton of content, better cosmetics, and steams release + actual events and not the garbage they gave us for Halloween.

I actually really enjoy xdefiant. Ive had some excellent clutch games on dom and TD. Really funny moments as well, just reminds me of the old COD days where it was fun and quick matches. I'm just looking forward to ubi doing maps like Echelon, but in the dark with night vision sights, could do with a big dump of 5 new maps as well, keep it fresh.

Regarding the choice of engine: It's fine they went with the harder engine to work with. What is not ok is quite frankly the sub par experience they gave on launch. The netcode/hitreg issues, some of the sights in the game just being...wrong...two things that will kill peoples desire to play the game quickly in a fast paced fps. Anecdotal but my group of friends went from excited about the game to trying it for a week or two, and then it just got dropped because it was so frustrating. Hard to come back from such a bad first impression. As for Ubisoft and the servers, Ubi is having some issues right now across the board. I could see them cutting a slew of underperforming games to try to make themselves look better to their shareholders. I wanted to like and support this game, but they lost me at launch.

I love xdefiant, but with long queue times and after those long queue times 9/10 matches you run into full 6 stacks with level 200-300 players while you get danny no thumbs on your team makes the game just not very fun.
I want to play and love this game but i dont have time to play that much to be waiting 2-5 minutes for a match only to do alright but get rolled because i never have a team and have to play against what would be an MLG try hard sweat team.

Say you do all the challenges for DedSec and you unlock Adam Francis. Say you do all Echelon’s and you get Sam fisher. Then assassins creed you get Ezio. You get it?

I see your point, but you missing a critical aspect, no investor would agree to fund a marathon straight away, cos it is too risky, xdefiant will have to continuously prove that it has big player base to extend its funding, so yes when Mark Rubin is talking about year 2, year 3 etc. it is important to keep in mind, he does not have a money for that yet, he is saying this to hype up players and show investors that they have some kind of plan, I do not believe that xdefiant will be able to run a marathon if things will go the way they go right now, if xdefiant want to succeed it will have to make a miracle and make it fast, cos if game will go at a pace it go now, then there is a reasons to believe that it will not get funding after expiration of current contract.

They're saying it's small budget. Doesn't help the reason being is. It's the content that they bring out if it's not good skins. No one's gonna buy him. It's a fat and then you're not gonna make the money up. Even if it's a small budget realistically, it's tricky with the economy. With all this, it's very tricky. We are not people that can really gauge economy. And how the money works in the gaming industry, how they make it up, how they do this. How do they do this? It's like. Microsoft bit off more than it can chew. You know when they bought everything. Just like when they bought bafezdear, Activision. Blizzard, you know, and then Microsoft has screwed up drastic. I mean, screwed up drastically. I'm talking drastic where they shut down a studio that was doing so well p*** everybody off. People stopped going to game pass. A few people still do it but not enough. You're not making up the money. They have to shut down studios consistently to make up for the money. It's very complicated. Located, when it comes to that we can all have our opinions. I love x defiant. I cannot say that enough. But I don't think it's go. Nna last year's like mark Rubin won't thinks it would be because 6 days in falusia will be coming out. Better FPS games realistic FPS games better shooters. But there's just how it all goes. You know, they're making a split gate 2 when they didn't really have to, but they have to cause it's not enough like it was at launch, so they're not making enough money, so they have to make another one to get the hype pop in again and that's just how. The gaming industry works and it all comes down to the top of the God. It's the heads. O corporation owners. They decide how much money they're making and should we keep it go in? G, and should we not there are servers? Are closing down to make more money for certain games for other games to be made. It's very complicated. It's not something that we can say. The only thing saving destiny is a 3rd installment that does a complete 180 in terms of content for both PvE AND PvP. XDefiant is pulling similar numbers to halo and destiny’s current state in terms of player counts. If season 3 is a hit. XDefiant has the potential to be a top 5 game again.

Yeah XD is great. The maps all flow so well. Each map has a different style based on game mode. I've never been spawn camped. Matchaking is good. The movement is solid. It's really refreshing.

as much as i wish that were true i personally dont see that being the case. For US players right now the game probably feels like its thriving, but being in the EU west side im already feeling the player numbers drop. I see the same names playing in my lobbies every day, past 9pm i can be waiting 5+ minutes per game. The other day it was midnight and it took 35 minutes to find a match. Thats scary that in the whole of west europe i couldnt find 12 people playing this game at midnight. admittadly from 6-9pm this game has people playing but any other game i play at midnight has people playing so its worrying how this game doesnt.

Honestly, that is a very good question as a whole. Because as it being an indie game in how you be. Soft has been hated for so many years. It can be a very complicated question. @ I’m not the biggest fan of Xdefiant tbh, I don’t like how there isn’t a lot of progression. I don’t like the camo system personally. I also think the movement feels clunky personally. I do agree the maps are 100 percent better than the current COD maps we have gotten. No SBMM is nice but the game just gets boring after a while for me.

Im loving this game. And the content everyone complained is lacking is slowly being fixed. jist imagine when they actually budget for advertisments...this game is running off the day 1s and word of mouth.
