I'm going to be a better man for letting go of the love and hope and nostalgia I've been dwelling on and living in. It's been holding me back while others are out growing me. So I'm finally awake. Halo 3 is Halo 3. Everything after Halo Resch is part of a desperate organism that I don't know anything about. Ide give almost anything to have my boys back on narrows or snow bound in H3. Carrying my TV back and forth miles toeschothers house with xboxs in our back packs. Game Fuel every day. Some day we will all be forgotten. Don't get stuck held up not living your life waiting for the good old days to repeat themselves.especially if it's in the hands of a game developer like 343. 🥲💔

Halo Infinite is just being kept around to milk us for all we're worth. This is definitely more Microsoft than anything, but that doesn't change how terrible this is. Halo Infinite is really a great game stained by greed. Just good lord, if I were 343, Xbox, and Microsoft I would've at least waited until the next Halo game to change the studio name. HALO Studios is just immediately looking even worse than 343. Halo Infinite at least launched trying to have an identity and pushed against FOMO (which made a ton of sense with the Xbox Game Pass model and the devs saying they wanted people to be able to play other games). Since this it's just gotten closer to Fortnite monetization wise and it's awful.
Forge really is carrying Infinite. It's a shame it launched late, but it gave us the most powerful forge to date. It is also keeping Halo Infinite fun now that it's been abandoned by the developers. That said it's completely tainted by this monetization. Speaking as someone who staunchly defended Halo Infinite for years, enough is enough. Every time I watch your videos Microsoft/Halo Studios is taking one step forward and two steps back. I don't care how cool the new Firefight mode is if they're showing that they're not listening to the community's big concerns about Infinite. There has to be a line in the sand where even people who love Halo the most will stop rewarding little good things when they're constantly accompanied by these huge bad decisions. Otherwise it's just a toxic, abusive, exploitative relationship between the studio and the community. I wouldn't tolerate this in a personal relationship, so I'm done tolerating it in my recreation. The Mk IV armor update being a 10 to 90% split in favor of the cash shop killed any faith and loyalty I felt towards Infinite. I can't say I'm surprised they're pulling nonsense like this. I personally hate the new playlist organization. It's so messy and unclear what is where from the playlist names. Why isn't Husky Raid in Action Sack? Why can't I search Slayholds and Strongholds at the same time? Or Attrition and Slayer? Or normal CTF and Fiesta CTF? It's so upsetting. I wish there was a way I could customize the playlist layout on my end because they have done such a moronic job of it.

I made the switch to Helldivers 2 and haven’t looked back. The only reason I didn’t move over sooner was because I was bitter about Helldivers 2 being everything Halo fans have wanted for years. I was mad that the franchise I felt deserved better was getting less and less, with higher and higher prices. I can no longer ignore what has happened.
