Halo by far has the best community/dev communication of all games out now. We as the community and many of us 20+ year fans and the newer generation who got into halo with halo 2, 3 and onward bunjie and 343 have done amazing creating a gaming experience both online and off like no other. I am happy and proud to be a halo fan. Seeing what people in cod or even worse, battlefield are going through, it's a breath of fresh air to know how we are being listened to and also to the extent our requests are being met. Great job 343. We aren't all perfect but you listen unlike anyone else. We aren't spoiled we just want to see halo continue to thrive.

No Forge until August? That's unacceptable. Forge should have been one of the main focuses, even before Co-op. There's literally nothing to do in Halo to get a break from sweaty MP, except a campaign we've already played. Creators have NOTHING TO DO until AUGUST, and that's not even confirmed yet.
I can't enjoy ranked because it's riddled with cheaters.
I can't enjoy casual modes because desync and cheaters.
I can't enjoy event modes because they're full of people afk farming.
I can't play BTB because it doesn't let me find a match.
I can't use Theater to make machinima because it's broken with horrid controls.
I can't play customs with friends because there's minimal settings and it KEEPS RESULTING IN TIES DURING THE MATCH.
I spent most of my time in Halo designing maps and modes. After a nightmare shift at work, I wanna sit down and make new content. Forge and Customs will buy 343 SOOOOOO much time to make new content. Why is this being put off until end of year?
It also needs to launch with a custom games browser.
I feel like an asshole saying this over and over. I know 343 is in a shit position with a notoriously difficult to learn engine, BS contracting from Microsoft, probably understaffed and overworked, but if you're going to spit in my fucking face by advertising things in bundles/event trailers that aren't included, marking them way more than they're worth, only allowing me to pay using credits I can only buy at intentionally BS intervals, you could at least have the fucking decency to make it right. Sure, improvements to the shop are being made. But they never should have been so outrageous in the first place.
We can't even mix and match armor/colors. You take away a wonderful customization system and charge us $10 3x for the same basic color, and do it for several basic colors? 700 credits for a color meant $10 for a color. You couldn't buy 700 credits alone.
I love Infinite and I know it'll get there. I'm simply so fucking angry that when we think they're trying to make it right, they still prove they think we're idiots. Using cheeky tactics to make it seem like we're spending less. I want to play Halo, why does every part of it have to be so unplayable/soiled?

They're lucky this game is free to play or it would have crashed and burned in a month. Asking people to pay for an incomplete game that may or may not work would have been the end of 343 Industries given how Halo fans had already been pushed far past their limit for bullshit over the years.

I think it's unlikely we will see a lot, if any, new content until S2 drops. Drip feeding content into the game as it becomes available won’t do much to bring a large amount of players back into the game quickly. It may eventually work over time, but they would generate more waves in the gaming space if they dropped a ton of content at once. That is why I believe they have opted to hold out on adding new content, if possible, until Season 2 starts. I still think that additional content will also come with the announcement of a Battle Royale (whether surprised launched with S2 or announced for a S3 drop date). If they were working on a BR what would making a legit road map do for them? They can't tell people they are working on one because not only would they admit they lied last year when asked about it, but it would also mean they decided shove standard MP aside for its development. That is a huge no for PR. If they already have it almost complete and ready to show off it won’t matter if the traditional Halo fans are upset…because more people will be talking about what they have to show for a BR.

I love playing Infinite but the game is slowly dying. It's becoming stale for me - I completed the battle pass and both the recent activities. I'm literally playing for ranking and it's become boring. I'm afraid that by Season 2 I and others will have moved onto other things and this will become a game with a cult player base. 343 need to get content and updates out quicker to ensure this survives through this year!

I don’t understand how 343 completed the massive effort of coding and designing the core multiplayer gameplay and single player campaign of Halo Infinite yet things like new weapons, an updated store, multiplayer campaign, forge(when they obviously have an internal forge system to create 343 maps), fixing the ranked system, player collision, new game modes, new weapons, and any other comparatively small issue all have literally no timeline. Most of these need significantly less man hours or would even be changing just a few lines of code. I can understand how desync and server issues in general would take more time. It seems like they fired 90% of the staff the day the beta dropped.

I'm willing to bet the BTB and cheating issues are really throwing a wrench in their scheduling. Feels like they grossly underestimated the manpower they needed to support a F2P Halo. I mean tbh at this point they need to get their act together while the other AAAs are down wallowing in the dirt. Microsoft clearly has the resources, however them acquiring Activision and CoD is probably negatively affecting their willingness to invest in Halo.

Halo Infinite for Christmas 2022 is going to be a good game to get. Potentially.
The last time I remember DLC being so far out was Halo 3, when the Mythic map pack came out nearly 3 years later, and Halo Reach came out by then. I've already stopped playing, but it will definitely be a cool game to play again when it's finally done being iterated on.

I wonder though Campaign Overworld map would work very well as a battle royale map or a big-team firefight mode I wonder if any of the rumored other studio stuff will happen with that.

So something is really bothering me here, and it's not to do with any of the issues we already know about. They said back in november that season 2 will launch 6 months after launch (assuming they mean since the beta launch otherwise wtf) so May this year right? Can we then assume that there will be another 6 month time gap between the next season after that? If so that takes us to november this year. I stopped playing for the last week or two, and decided today to go and try a game or two, and found out it was the tenrai event, cool, so I load up a game, run around, get a couple kills aaaaand crash. okay so I reload the game, get into another match and as soon as I get into a gun fight....crash.....so, yeah, I dunno man, sorta just over this shit until they can figure their shit out, I spent way to much time trying to figure out why the game crashed when it first came out, and I ruled out all external factors on my end, and there just seems to be no rhyme or reason to it that I can figure out, some days I play and I have no problems at all, other times I play and it's just a crash every game. hard to care about coop or any new content when the game isn't even consistently playable.
